For the first time in Provence, a large residence on a 6,000 sqm property has been completed with over 100 frogblue units, known as frogs.

The building is exclusively equipped with frogblue Smart Home technology. Video surveillance is executed via MOBOTIX™ cameras which are paired with the frogblue USB link to the frogblue Bluetooth® system for remote control.

The following special functions were required for the wireless Smart Home system: Central off when leaving the building, central on as a panic command and call-up capable light scenes for patios, terraces, pools and outside areas available on the smartphone. The doors and windows are monitored for opening and/or tilting positions in alarm mode. Operating the light switches in the hallways also triggers an alarm. All hallway spots are activated when a door in the house is opened during the night. One double click on each light button activates the panic function. All the lights can be switched off on selected light buttons with a triple click. After the local electrician installed the frogblue modules in the UP sockets behind the light switches, all lights could already be switched and/or dimmed directly on the light sensor without programming.

Configuring the switchover circuits, setting up room and signal names as well as adjusting the central functions only took two days, which means a tremendous amount of time saving compared to other systems. This is mainly due to the Macro functionality of the free of charge «frogblueProject“ project software, as predefined central functions are simply assigned to inputs and outputs and do not have to be reprogrammed every time. With a power consumption of only around 20 Watts for the 100 modules, the frogblue system requires less than 1/10 of the power of other wired solutions.

A switching cabinet or modules in the subdistributors are not necessary with frogblue. All frogs are invisibly located behind the light switches and are only ramped up with 230 V alternating current. They communicate exclusively via the highly encrypted frogblue Bluetooth® network. The video on www.frogblue.com impressively demonstrates the central functions and the delay in switching on is due to the built-in LED lights. Switching them off is, however, instantaneous.
